Welcome to INSPIRE!  

Are you ready to be inspired in your work?  

Human Resources is both art and science.  Yep, laws, coaching, leading and showing up as well!  There are two keys to HR that must work in tandem.  The first is the foundational HR.  This is your policy, procedure and compliance pieces.  Much of this we cover in the Talent Optimization HIRE program.

Here in INSPIRE.  We are focused on the transformational HR.  INSPIRING people to perform, and this includes you!

High Performing Teams.


You know it if you are on one!


Are you currently on a high performing team?


A high performing team is one that shares common goals, responsibilities, and accountability for achieving those goals. 


Members set aside their individual needs for the needs of the team and make promises that uplevel every individual on the team and meet the results that have been promised. 

I2:W6 - HR As A Coach

HR As A Coach.

Yes, you will be asked to coach others.  Probably on the daily.  Yet, it will not be called coaching.

 

Have you ever had to ask someone questions about the job that they want to be in, a performance concern that a manager has about an employee, and they are looking for your insight?  Yep, you are being asked to coach without knowing what coaching is or how to do it.

 

This week we will dip our toe into HR as a Coach.  This is a BIG topic that we can dive into further, if you wish.

 

For now, enjoy learning some curious questions, the assumption model and a couple insights that will create impact for you!

I3:W9 - Talent Pathway Planning

Talent Pathway Planning.

Ever wonder how the person you admire go to the position that they are in? 

Most likely this was a multi-pronged approach.  The first being that they planned out their career (You can review the bonus lesson in I1W1) and there was probably a pathway and mentorship in the organization.

Now, it is your turn to plan the pathways for staff to grow.  Both in a leadership pathway and in a specialist pathway.

 

I3:W10 - Platform for Voices to be Heard

Do your staff feel heard at work?

Now that you are a couple weeks out from your 30-day challenge.  Has that experience helped you to stay connected and hear what your staff have to say? 

In this module, we will learn what our staff are saying and create platforms to hear the feedback and do something about it that creates trust.

 

I3:W11 - Employee Engagement

Are your staff performing at the “Have to” curve or the “Want To” curve?

Meaning – I am here for a paycheck vs. What else can I do and let me take that on for you!

The key to this is engaging employees in the work.  We will touch on four key areas where we engage staff.

  • Fit to Role that they are in
  • Manager in how the employee is led
  • Team in how the team is engaged with each other
  • Organizational culture and the fit to the individual personal values

I3:W12 - Succession Planning and Mentoring

Hi ,

How does your team grow?

They grow in various ways AND as organizational leaders; we need to plan for their growth and the organizational needs.  This is where formal succession planning and mentoring programs into play.

Join us in this module as we discuss what they are and how the serve the organization and staff learning and growing into additional roles and responsibilities.

 

I4:W13 - Discipline that Engages

Hi ,

Do you ever wonder why folks cannot do what they have been asked to do and agreed to do?

Yet, as leaders we create the environment in what behaviors we allow and do not allow in our organizations.  “Hard” conversations and accountability are key to ensuring that your organization and the people in it are performing.

In this week’s module we will chat about accountability, discipline and creating happy alumni.

This week we will start the annual performance process with the manager conversations.  We will dive into the relationship between the manager and employee and how accountability and goal setting impact great performance.
